"My husband and I are on holiday, and found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. On entering the restaurant, we were favourably impressed by the warm, cosy interior the ceiling was covered in suspended wine bottles. The service was good too. I chose smoked butterfish with toasts tartar sauce, then wok fried vegetables with chicken. My husband had the chicken salad, then fried potatoes with ham and eggs. I also had a sherry and a glass of medium white wine, while hubby driver) had water. We shared a chocolate souffle with ice cream and marmalade for desert. One major mistake by the chef I always cut pieces of chicken before I eat them, and one of the larger pieces of chicken was raw in the middle. Any self respecting chef would be hauled over the coals for serving raw chicken, but when I pointed it out to the waiter, I heard nothing more except a brief apology. In the UK, if this had happened, a chef would personally apologise and some recompense made e.g. a free desert or 10% off by way of an apology. Let's just hope the rest was cooked enough, or I could be ill tomorrow! : Disappointed."
