"We came to a closed door, mistakenly think that they were still open, half an hour after they closed and they met us with great enthusiasm and a certain desire to help our upcoming desire for their Mac’n’cheese. not only had we had a nice conversation, but her psychic food was beyond any expectation. Mac’n’cheese to die, and beautifully cooked yams our only regret is that our journey took us away from bakersfield before we could try more of their delicious food."

"I love J's Place. I've been going there for years. My favorite waitresses are Bee and Angie. I always sit in there section. They have great customer service. I've almost tried everything on the menu. Never had a complaint. The service is excellent."

"We were coming home from vacation and stopped at this pollo loco because we like their double chicken salad. Do not go, I got food poisoning. At first I didn't think that I got sick from the food, but only I got sick and my husband is not, he just happened not to be hungry and only had a bean cheese child burrito. When I ate the chicken, it didn't taste bad but was super chewy, like it was under cooked, I ate some but I threw out the rest. Nobody else is sick in the family but myself and this was the only thing that I ate and no one else did. I would give it zero stars. I should have read the reviews before I had eaten here."
