"I've pushed my whole life on this full moon and never dissatisfied until today. I'm not sure what happened to this special restaurant, but I'm never gonna walk in again. it was disgusting. there was müll all over the floor, each chair was pulled out under the tables, and the workers did not seem for the customers. at one point I saw a coworker who commanded the drive while I sat on a table with a friend. the look of the inner of the restaurant let me lose my appetit and they were made of kartoffels. overall a terrible experience and a very dirty restaurant."

"The Tavern has struggled the last few months. They have had turnover in management, waitress personnel and systems. The services delays have recently been corrected but my salad arrived without poppy seed dressing and it took a long time to get hold of our waiter. Eventually everything was corrected"

"This was a eat-whatever-you-want meal celebrating a coworker's retirement and a going away party. This was my 1st time eating here and it didn't disappoint at all. As soon as I walked in I noticed just how dimly lit the place was and at every table a light was lighting up each individual table. The only negative thing that happened was that one of the hosts gave us a slight bad attitude because we didn't have reservations, but there were plenty of empty tables. We were sat immediately and greeted immediately by our server. She walked us through the menu and gave her suggestions. We had raw oysters, fried asparagus, a cowboy bone in ribeye with prawns and a small lobster tail. I would highly recommend coming here! I also here their pork chop is delicious too!"

"We found this cafe because it was close to our hotel. I had the fried fish filet, sweet potatoes casserole, cream corn and dressing. My spouse had the lemon chicken, butter beans and dressing. The sweet tea was delicious. The staff was very friendly. We visited with the manager/owner ? Who made other recommendations while we were in town. What a friendly and personable guy. I would highly recommend eating here. If you are a local you should frequent this place."

"Delicious bride and onion rings!! Love how their onion rings are HUGE (I could wear these onion rings as bracelets haha! . Great mood and culture. Your cheese biscuits are a must try. Since the first visit I added Jim N Nicks to my favorite list of restaurants in AL! This location has difficult parking, as it is in the city center, but it is worth the effort for good food!!"

"This restaurant was AMAZING! From the food to the service staff, everything was impeccable! I ordered chicken that was seasoned and fried to perfection! The cheese grits were creamy and did not have to have any salt added to them. The pancakes were huge! They have this homemade syrup that is very good with hints of praline or some kind of nut. They served HUGE pancakes! I will definitely return."
