"My wife and I went here per a friend's recommendation. Let me tell you, the food here is absolutely amazing! Deserving of more than 5 stars if possible. I had the turkey wings w/cabbage and mac and cheese. My wife had fried fish with collard greens andmac and cheese (we both also had the corn bread). When I tell you EVERYTHING was good! It was amazingly good! You have to trythis place if you haven't been here. It is pricy (we paid over $60 for the both of us, but again, well worth it). My onlyregret is we didn't go here day 1 of our trip to D.C. so we could have gone again."

"Hubby and I attended an event at Elife Restaurant on this past Saturday Dec10th and this was our first visit and we're from NC it definitely will not be our last, the food was Amazing, cooked to perfection, We had collard greens, spinach casserole, cabbages, mac n' cheese and those desserts that pumpkin spice cake slice and I purchased a bean pie to bring home and wish I would have purchased more. Very nice clean and pleasant environment, love the energy there. Can't wait to return to the new location!"

"The sandwiches are huge and delicious. So many choices to choose from! The half smoke mac n cheese was flavorful. But the mac (the elbow pasta itself) was way over cooked and mushy.The tater tots were meh. They're tater tots.The potato salad was seriously yum! I could devour a whole bunch of that.The cole slaw was standard and what you'd expect from slaw.The packaging was great. Everything delivered nicely. And the leftovers were still tasty the next day."
