"Been open for only 2 weeks but staff clearly aren’t learning fast. They just put the bottles of water and wine on the table, don’t even open them never mind pour them. They also do not inform customers of what’s unavailable before ordering. Calamari over cooked, parsnip soup too spicy, no bread with terrine, burger bap “feels” stale on outside both times I’ve had it but it isn’t stale. Burger meat and garnish is delicious however, as are the chips. Everything very clean. Not sure what door to go in and out, seems they swap between the one opposite Deesons and the one opposite Chocolate Cafe. Extremely surprised to see 10% service added to bill automatically even for tables of 2. It’s apparently a “Pub and Kitchen” in Canterbury. Even pubs in London don’t typically add a service charge for small parties. Great location and hopefully they will improve over time."
