"I love Barr's Music City Soul Food. I often get it directly after work. I have no idea what happened with my order. The Smothered Pork Chops were terrible. They were overcooked, dry, cold as hell... and the gravy was congealed and never melted. It was never anything but a gel regardless of heat or water added or whatever. I shouldn't have eaten it. The macaroni and cheese was decent. The dressing was dried crumbs, and they did not put any gravy on it. I'm not gonna lie. I was grateful for the lack of gravy. The Peach Cobbler was the only thing that was hot, and it was fairly peach less. They included another dessert at no extra charge, and that red velvet cake was delicious. The roll was fine and they included a cornbread muffin which was decent too. I'll give them another chance IN PERSON so I can see what's good and what looks old. I feel like my plate was frozen and they had to defrost it. Soggy and pretty bad overall. They have a good track record with me, so this time... they're forgiven."

"Delicious! It's everything you could hope for in a southern BBQ joint. Everything was so tender and not over seasoned. The slaw was nice and crunchy and not gloppy. The service was great; it's a casual place but they do have a little bar next door. I ate every last crumb!"

"Staff wasn't very polite, he seemed inconvenienced by customers. They gave us the wrong sandwiches spicy hot). I suspect by their snarky giggle before handing them out the window that they did it intentionally. I wish I had checked before leaving. It's a shame that places like this can only hire low class people without any work ethic."

"Terrific food, menu heavy on steak, which is what we we ordered. The only slight negative our Server was just awesome but seemed like she had too many tables so just a tad slower than expected, but she was hustling around making it happen, Great job. Ambiance and quality of the restaurant are simply Top-Notch , hard to believe we were still in Nashville. Prices were high, but that was to be expected. Finally, to all of the foodies... they serve a Beef Hemmingway (a play on Lion Hemmingway) ...and it was out of this world. They also serve a Wellington. Next time will try more of their non-steak offerings. This place is a treasure and we will definitely be back."

"This place is definitely one of my favorite go-to restaurants in East Nashville. You have a really good happy hour with delicious little bites and cocktails. But the best part for us is the large terrace, and they allow us to bring our dogs. We have met many other really nice people there with dogs. The staff is so friendly and welcomes us every time. Love, love, love this place!"

"This place simply found through the restaurants on Google maps. I'm glad I'm here. the outside is beautiful and inside is clean. server came fast, was attentive, and eating came shortly after. eating was excellent. I like selling some sauces on the front and mixing their cookies. in any case it will go again."
