"Superb pastries, friendly service. I ordered an almond chocolate croissant and a turmeric latte. Latte was way too sweet but still tasty. I'd try it again without the brown sugar added. The pastry was really good. Very flaky, good filling. You'll make a mess so just enjoy it! Nice little patio overlooking Trinity Bellwoods Park."

"I'm giving this a two because most of their food is good, and that's that.The customer service in this place is absolutely abhorrent as you may have seen from some of the other posts that rank the lowest.I ordered a sandwich today, and had finished and was just about to wrap up with my family when one of the clerks came along , and stated that as per their policy written on the tables, if you don't have food from The Sweet Escape, you can't sit at one of the tables.The condition was that I had ordered food, and was well within the clockwatcher's 30 minute policy. I stated this much, and she left for about a minute, and came back stating that there was nothing for me on the grill, so I had to leaveI found the entire thing completely rude and unprofessional, and if businesses like this want to maintain a customer basis, work on your customer service skills"
