"We have done many tasting menus and even Michelin restaurants so we know high end dining. This was a disappointment. Staff was nice and food was flavorful, however, portions and substance of the food was extremely lacking. We left hungry. It was as if this was a tasting menu on a diet. Put it this way, the dessert was a few pieces of honey dew melon with sauce drizzled on top. The best they did was put down a few pieces of bread in the middle of the courses which practically saved us. Pathetic. Spent $300 (two tastings with the tip no added extra drinks) and feel completely robbed."

"This is a cute place on Newbury Street, which should be a caution sign to the budget gourmet. Always in search of the highest quality per dollar experience, we didn't find it here. We ordered sushi sashimi combo. The maki is teeny, and there was no miso soup or green salad included, as one usually encounters (and expects) in quality sushi restaurants. The food isn't bad but it's aggressively tourist priced on a tourist markup street, and the lack of soup and/or salad lent an aura of stinginess to the experience. There are many great Japanese restaurants in Boston, one of them not far away on Boylston Street with prices 20 30% lower. The rents must be crazy high on Newbury Street. If you've got the time to trek out to Porter, or even Cambridge Street in Beacon Hill, you'll get home with a bit more of your salary intact."

"We ordered sushi about uber eats to enjoy at the marina. the restaurant was very fast and we had our food in no time. I loved my poke bowl. the dressing and ingwer made the bowl pop with taste. if I lived in the opposite, I would definitely be a strain!"
