"Sushi Yoshi is totally under rated, and this is one of the OG sushi spots been in the area for more than 15+ years as Nov 2022! They are one of the best sushi places in the area with very reasonable price for the quality and hidden gem in Torrance. They are very simple and done everything right. Sushi there are very fresh and delicious and always hit the spot.Quick tips: This place is mostly takeout, and you should phone in to place your order. They always make their sushi fresh, and it will take some time during peak lunch/dinner hours. They are in the same plaza as Starbucks and next to another OG Japanese Teri’s Place."

"This is one of my favorite Japanese meals and places! Nothing fancy. In a food court in Torrance. Plentiful parking. Friendly and helpful staff. But their tempura and sauce on their rice is one of the best. I've been craving this dish for months. I got the one with the fish and shrimp tempura. Next time, I may get the same dish, but I might get mackerel (my favorite fish) grilled or broiled on the side. I could eat here often, and I wish I was in Torrance, purely to go back here! Big thanks to my friend Ken Miyoshi for putting me on game and showing me this spot."

"The lady at the register was very nice when I was ordering my food and even added some seaweed and green onions to my udon for free. However the sushi left a lot to be desired. The uni tasted and looked like it had been left out for days ; I gagged when I took a bite because the taste of sea was so strong in a rancid way. the shrimps, octopus, and squid were rubbery how they taste when prepared earlier and improperly stored. The color of the tuna and salmon were both a little greyer than usual.For the price, (roughly sixteen for the platter of sushi) there’s way too much competition for “bargain sushi” for me to come back. It seems that other people have had better luck with the freshness of the fish and seems like this place is hit or miss."
