"A pretty 18th century gas house, right on the street, so easy to find. very welcoming with nice servier staff, a nice and not overwhelming menu with interesting veggie selections and beautiful atmosphere. it is directly on the forth clyde channel, so after lunch we went for a walk to cadder and had a hot drink and a cake when we came back. very satisfying Sunday excursion."

"It was me and my mother was the first time in helensburgh and it was just by chance that our travelodge in which we were was right next to this beautiful pub! we have booked a table for 7 o'clock and a beautiful seat next to the window in a quiet opposite of the pubs. cara (I think her name was and her service was absolutely great. she was extremely accentuated on our food requirements as well as chatty and friendly. the food itself was just wonderful. I had a bump steak that I enjoyed throughout (and the cheese sauce was to die for! and my mother had a small pizza. We decided to order a hot drink and pudding afterwards, and my pudding didn't taste good, so we kindly asked to return the pudding for us that she did and her manager came out and apologized unfaithful. also he was extremely accusing, professional and friendly and assured us that the pudding had actually been misprepared and he was grateful that we broke it up so that this mistake would not happen again. beautiful, homely place with fantastic eating and the most fantastic staff! Many thanks, we look forward to our return in the near future!"

"It’s a good place to rest after walking hiking across the coast, it has a nice vibe to it. I enjoyed the interior, provided nice escape from the sun in the summer. I would recommend to get a drinks only as they are reasonably priced, but food is not great. I’ve had fish chips and it was one of the worst I’ve had. My partner’s vege burger was bang average as well."
