"We stayed in Hondarribia during the fiesta and I’d booked this restaurant in advance by direct emailing, as we’d been advised that places would be busy. We had the best meal of all the meals we had in 2 weeks touring northern Spain. We sat outside by the pond where there were fish swimming about. One of the owners served us and was very attentive and friendly, making us feel very welcome. We shared some mushrooms as a starter (which was recommended including by a French couple sitting behind us) and cod in an almond sauce with lovely vegetables (the only ones we were served with a main in 2 weeks) followed by a dessert- crème brûlée (my favourite) with ice cream (making it even even better). We had a nice bottle of wine to go with the meal. If we’d stayed longer in Hondarribia, I’m sure we would’ve returned!"

"Fantastic restaurant with a fresh and modern approach for classic Basque cuisine. The star next to the chefs) was Mita the waitress who had an incredible knowledge of the wines and food and pairings. We enjoyed two courses and five glasses of wine between us and with bread came to a modest e130. Love it"
