"My friends and I loved this restaurant! We came to celebrate a birthday and we all left extremely satisfied. There are so many items on the menu so we'd love to come back and try some more food and drinks. Here are the highlights: Seafood Tostada (8/10): Great shareable item. Comes with extra saltine crackers and worked surprisingly well with the ceviche. It was good, but I'm not sure I would get it again. Lamb Chops (9/10): The lamb was super tender and only had a slightgamey taste. The salsa verde and arugula paired perfectly with the lamb. Rib Eye (10/10): The rib eye by itself was amazing, but what made it even better was that they let you turn it into a taco. The dish also comes with corn tortillas,avocado slices, roasted chilies green onions, greens, limes, and an olive oil based sauce. This was perfect for sharing, even with 4 people. Churros (10/10): Holy guacamole... these churros. Perfectly crunchy on the outside and fluffy inthe middle, it might just be the best churro I've ever had. The chocolate-caramel sauce for the first few bites, but it quickly became overly sweet. Sangria (10/10): The sangria is a great drink for anyone looking for something sweet andnot high in alcohol."

"5 stars for the food: The ingredients taste extremely fresh and the combination of everything is absolutely delicious. The hotdog bread was so warm and toasted. The soyrizo was very nicely seasoned and was matched perfectly with the vegan mayo. Five stars for both. 100 stars for the service: Regardless of being served at 10 pm I was greeted with a smile. This truck is the epitome of great customer service. The taco was on the house!!! I waited around 10-15 minutes which is totally understandable since there was only one worker. I totally recommend this place to EVERYONE! They have veg options (tacos and vegdogs). Great late night snack. Not too heavy on the stomach. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!!"

"Friday was my time at Harold and Belle's after reading a little about the history of the restaurant it seemed like a nice little hidden gem in South Los Angeles. I made a reservation in the hopes there wouldn't be a long wait on a Friday night my friend an I were seated promptly. The server was named Maya and upon mentioning it was my time there wasn't much of a welcome as a new customer. Nonetheless after reviewing the menu we made out order. The inside of the restaurant was pretty nice and although there wasn't a very large dining area it SEEMED like more of a nice sit down type restaurant A few minutes after placing our order there was a group of about people that was inconsiderately loud in the dining area. I have been to places where there are groups that are having a good time and can tend to get a bit noisy, however when Maya came to our table and we asked if she minded asking them to lower the noise level we were quite taken aback when the response was a swift and outright "NO". Absolutely zero interest in helping to create an enjoyable and peaceful dining experience for the rest of the customers some around us clearly agitated. With our shocked looks she then said i'll let the manager know and returned to inform us that the managers response was that they are paying customers as well so there was nothing that could be done It was very difficult to even talk with my friend across the table and although I was tempted to just cancel our order and leave, I wanted to see if the food was any good. When the food came it was a decent meal and I just got to it since I couldn't really talk over the loud group Because I want to support businesses that support and employ the south l.a. area I paid my bill and tipped the server (even though I really didn't want to) But I doubt I will be returning to Harold and Belle's as my experience didn't show much in terms of decent customer service from the management down to the staff I encountered."

"The food is good. I had the grilled trout. The skin was crisp and the fish was flavorful. They have a nice beer selection too. A solid little spot to get bistro style comfort food. Recommended."

"My friend and I came here and got two tacos each and the chips and guac to share. She got the mushroom and cauliflower and the grilled shrimp and preferred the shrimp of the two. I got the two plant based taco options: The Crispy Taco: 5/5 Really liked the fried shell on this one. Used PB beef and daiya cheese. Delicious and reminded me of the Taco Time tacos of my youth haha Jackfruit: 5/5 This was my favorite one. Super flavorful and loved the salsa verde. Docking one star because charging $1 each for sauces is a travesty imo."

"Came here because my mom craved Dungeness crab for her birthday. She didn't want to drive all the way to Redondo so she decided to give this place a try. The price for crab is per lb which we knew, but they didn't have a pound only 2lbs , costing $84.99. Pass. She settled on the soft shell crab and we ordered Cajun shrimp, chicken tenders, fish and chips and fried shrimp baskets. When the food arrived we noticed right away that their deep fry cooking oil was old because all the fried items came out a dark brown. Fried items should appear light golden brown. (My mom owned a restaurant for 15 years, so we would know). The Cajun shrimp was good, but Boiling Crab's is better. The chicken tender and fried shrimp was ok. The fish and chips didn't taste good. The batter was just awful. Could only eat one piece. The worse was the soft shell crab. It was inedible. It was soggy, extremely salty and the juices tasted like salt water. My mom proceeded to order something else, but was told everything is salty. At this point she is pissed and can't believe everything on their large menu to be salty. She ended up with a corn on the cob, not even a full size, ON HER BIRTHDAY. Sad! They did remove the soft shell crab dish, but it still cost $89 for 4 dishes the cob and drinks and it wasn't even good. You honestly can get better food from California Fish Grill for half the price with leftovers. We gave this place a try and it was definitely a miss."
