"Was not made to feel welcome with a young child. Asked for a highchair on booking and whilst ordering and one was only produced after staff chastised me for my toddler running loose. Even though after several asks no chair was provided for me to prevent this in the first place. So embarrassing for me when I was already extremely stressed. Live music was good however really odd to have it over Sunday lunchtime this really needs to be advertised better no conversation could be had over the music during dinner. Food was average at best. Childrens choices abysmal however judging by my welcome I presume that's because they don't want children coming. Pineapple upside down cake was horrible really stodgy and solid not enough pineapple and too much glacé cherries. Not much choice on the wine list but decent cocktails albeit overpriced. All and all a disappointing outing I would not return."

"I and my friend visited sant yago a week ago on Tuesday night. we called in the last minute (5 o'clock) to ask if they had one table for two this evening, and were very happy that they had. I wanted to go to sant yagos because many friends recommended it, and I always said that it was very popular so I had to book in advance. the atmosphere of the restaurant was great. Once we came in, we were greeted and brought to our table. the lighting was dim, but they had candles on each table. there was an old black and white film that played on the wall behind the bar that grabbed our attention, as well as the birds hand hand handmade from spiked wire hanging on the deck. the tables were well disassembled, so they have a talk on their table and are not distracted by noise from other tables. the service we received from our waiter daniel was excellent. when we ordered our food, we had a tastecard that he explained, gave us 2 for 1 on all tapas. for our last dish we couldn't decide between the Coconut Quinoa curry or a lamb dish and asked for his opinion. he gave us various reasons why he would choose any court, and then looked at the remaining courts we had ordered to see what would best go. daniel went the extra mile, and when he bought our food, he also bought the coconut quinoa curry (after we had chosen the lamb dish), as he said that we could not decide and he thought we would like to try. that was a nice gesture to our meal. the food was excellent, and came very quickly to our table after we had ordered it. all the tapas dishes came together, and we had a great selection of food from what we chose. our waiter daniel was very attentive and came to our table several times in the evening to check if we were well. by using our tastecard and get 2 for 1 on all tapas dishes that eat worked great worth. we had 7 tapas dishes (this includes those who gave us free of charge), and the bill came around £20 for both of us! we were pleasantly surprised when eating was so good quality. we will definitely return to sant yago because the excellent service will get and the quality of food. we recommend to eat in sant yago!"
