"There are beautiful views from the window the church and the selfeidges. the breakfast was very good. to my surprise there was tofu and spinat. it is very beautiful with salt and pepper. their subscript court is lobster vulture, but they do not offer it today. try it again next time."

"We used to go to Brown's in Brighton many years ago, just after it opened. It did food for starving students. This is much more upmarket in food and ambience, but still excellent food and service. We booked for the set lunch,but ,as we were early and they just seemed to be doing a festive lunch, we had an omelette and a lobster Benedict. And quite a few brilliant cocktails. Chocolate and orange martini gets my vote. We will be back in the new year."

"The waitress was the best part of the evening. She was lively, knowledgeable and efficient. She welcomed the party and fixed us up with drinks. The large noisy table which assembled afterwards was not her fault. My duck liver paté starter was delicious but the fish and chips main didn't live up to it, either with the fish batter or the chips. Writing Happy Birthday' on the birthday girl's dessert was a nice touch. The wines were fine, especially the English sparkling wine. One of our party was very happy with the entrecôte steak but, on the whole, this was closer to a fair rather than a great meal."
