"The place itself is very nice and authentic, the design is welcoming and they have those funny low tables for which you have to take your shoes off. The menu was big, plenty of vegetarian (and meaty) dishes to choose from. The only thing that was not that great was the slow service. We waited for an hour (really, exactly for an hour) until they brought the starters to the table. Then somewhere half way through the meal we ordered a glass of beer which never got to us. The waitresses were all nice and friendly, but it felt like they were a bit sleepwalking. Food was good though, no complains there."

"Visited this delightful restaurant on a trip to Hamburg, Germany. My hosts had savoured the dinner menu a few weeks before and had left very impressed and satisfied. When I was invited to try the Business Lunch menu, I was really excited as the restaurant...had received rave review from my hosts. The restaurant is set in a quiet residential street conveniently located a short walk from the Alster Lake, inviting you to have a post-dinner leisure walk (which is exactly what we did). On arrival at the restaurant, we were shown to our table by a very young and well-groomed Maitre d'. The interior was clean, stylish and comfortable. It was also empty, save a young couple who were finishing off their meal when we arrived (please note that this was in the afternoon). On request, I was presented with the English menu as I do understand or speak German. For the Business Lunch, you could either have courses at or courses for (choice of six starters, four mains and one dessert). We all ordered different starters so we could sample each others and I opted for the Tartar of wild prawns and avocado. My hosts ordered the Milanese saffron risotto and Sicilian garganelli. All dishes tasted divine, but I preferred mine the most. It was exceptionally fresh tasting and had a slight tang to it. The avocado totally complimented and balanced off the dish. For our main, we all ordered the Milanese Ossobuco with parsley and mashed potatoes, which was again a winner. As the kitchen could only serve two portions of the main, a very enviable alternative was served to one of my hosts. The meat was extremely well seasoned and cooked to perfection... couldn't fault it. For dessert, we decided to order one portion of the only dessert on the Business Lunch menu and two others from the A La Carte. Once again, Anna Sgroi delivered in all areas with the right combination of flavour, taste and texture. Looking forward to another dining experience at this hidden gem."

"I was eating with my son for ice. they are very kind and have extra two different chairs for my son's offer. I had a spagetti ice cream. that was a decent portion and also quite delicious. especially the sosse. my son had a mixed egg vanilla, strawberry and cinnamon. Here the ice should have had a much more fruit or spice content. in particular vanille seems to always be a problem in most ice creams. one tastes as good as no vanillearome or the vanilla balls do not feel in the ice."

"Very good selection of dishes and a very friendly, as well as attentive service. We ate two and paid €50.30. The dishes tasted good and were good. The complex is very nice. You feel comfortable here. The vegetarians Samosa and Pakora each cost € 4.30. There's a yogurt and Mango Cahutney. As main food we took the 43 Chana Curry with Kischererbsen for 10,50 € and 45 Alu Gobi cauliflower with potatoes in Curry for 11,50 €. Both tasted very good, mild with some sharpness in the aftertaste. The rice is also good. The Dessert 70 vanilla ice cream with mango for 4,50 € was also good and plentiful. Also recommended is the Yogi tea for 3 €. The double espresso costs 2,50 € and also tastes, the yeast wheat costs 3,70 €. Everything in a very good Indian restaurant."
