"Maybe it was the time of day we went (mid-afternoon) but the service was slow. The food was okay. I felt like the portion for the "Mexican Flag" enchiladas was a little small. Two tiny enchiladas with a big bed of rice. My boyfriend had the burrito salad which came with a side of chips. More salad and less chips would've been better. I don't think I would recommend this place unless you've got low standards on Mexican food."

"Food was great. We had the pizza of the day with sausage, apples and onions. Amazing. I had my 3 small children with me, the place is not really appropriate for children, it's just too small but the staff was very gracious and found them crayons and paper. The kids lives their cheese pizza also. Really reasonable prices for the quality of ingredients too."

"We were the first to arrive for Saturday brunch, and I felt like we had star treats. The restaurant itself is very unique and we sat under the glass ceiling. There were fresh flowers scattered over the room that felt like we were at a celebration. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. I had the lobster Benedict and groundless mimoses, and she was fast with the refills. She was also helpful and showed some things to see in the city. I wish we had another day in Halifax to eat here!"

"I have lived in Halifax for 20 years and this was the first time I was ever in Maxwell's Plum! Very neat bar and fun atmosphere. Great selection of shareable plates we all enjoyed ourselves! Make sure to check out their drink list too!"

"Visiting from Toronto, we had made reservations at a fancy downtown Halifax seafood restaurant. A power outage in a 5 block radius meant our dinner plans were cancelled. A drive back to our hotel in Bayers Lake and a short walk brought us to one of the best Mexican meals we've ever had. Fred, our waitress, was friendly and helpful - but the food! We had carnitas and enchiladas. Both were perfectly prepared and full of flavour. Highly recommended this restaurant."

"Loved it! The atmosphere was very casual chic. Busy enough that the energy made it even more fun! And the cocktails, oh my! Words can't describe, you have to taste for yourself. The attention to detail. There was a pineapple leaf garnish on my glass that looked like art! Let's not forget the food! We were starved on arrival but not on departure! Fresh tasty seafood. Flavours were fabulous! Oh! The Pork Belly- is a must try for sure! The staff was super friendly. I could go on.... but u get the idea."
