"This a very good, Italian inspired restaurant with homemade pasta. Service and ambiance are outstanding. My wife’s mushroom ravioli was excellent; I found the lobster ravioli (which was recommended by our waiter) to be a bit bland. Not a lot of choices for wine by the glass and bottles seemed pricey. Dinner with salad, entrees and wine was $125 US plus tip."

"On the less-trafficked end of Hidalgo, this modest-sized restaurant was fairly empty when I arrived. I brought my day’s fresh fishing bounty and asked if they’d prepare an app and entree for me; leaving the particulars up to the chef. My server Aldo understood and was accommodating. Quickly turned-around a delicious cerviche, then a garlicky, buttery (grilled? Roasted? entree topped with guajillo peppers, a side of coconut rice and roasted veggies. Every bit of it was just to-die-for. And also made me feel like super-special company… like family. A warm welcome and super-nice for a solo traveller. Some regulars soon occupied the tables near me and furthered the friendly atmosphere with easy cross-table conversation. I’ve never in my life had mackerel so well-prepared. Wow. Oh and the tab was less than 20 bucks including two drinks. Granted, I brought my own fish but still… I’ll definitely be back."
