"This was our first time eating here. We drove to Jax for an appointment at Mayo Clinic. We lucked out finding this place. My husband got the bacon wrapped shrimp and I got the shrimp and steak. The flavors of both meals were great! In fact it was so good we couldn't leave without trying the flan. It was the biggest serving of flan that I've ever had, and it was delicious. We will be back next time we are in Jax."

"Oh my goodness!! Fabulous Roys goodness! It 's been ages since we last frequented Roy 's and so glad that we decided to make it a dinner date night here...5 stars for this incredible gourmet island dining experience! So first off how impressive and veritably cool that they sat me and my date in the most amazing place in the Restaurant! The two person booth that 's right in the back corner with a perfect close up view of the entire chefs station is the ultimate A Lister table! Our waiter Steve was so enthusiastic, knowledgeable, encouraging and attentive already great vibes before the parade of phenom drinks, appetizers, food and dessert! So let 's talk about the wonderful wonderful Roy 's cuisine: the Drunken Mule (With tasty pineapple Notes mind you) and Margarita were delish! The Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl appetizer was the perfect blend of huge ahi tuna chunks (right level of spicy) with fresh avocado and pickled cucumber, carrots. And the main courses were off the chart GREAT! I was so so lucky to order off menu the full Maine lobster tail with lump crab fried rice and sautéed mushrooms wonderful tasty Lobster! So what 's the perfect dessert to end this great dinner and dining experience? The stupendous and OMG so delicious pineapple upside down cake with vanilla ice cream, coconut shavings and caramel drizzle!! Aloha baby! Roy 's in JAX beach!! Just say YES and check Roy 's out! Serious goodness here!!"

"Two dollar tacos on Tuesday are great. Better than the Mexican restaurants in the area. The last two Tuesdays were here. The Boom-Boom-Scharmp are my #1. The woman said she's getting three of them. $5 Margarita and $3 Cento tequila. I wanted to do another day for the other specials, but not yet. Eating is fast and the staff is nice."

"Great service and even better food. Have been here a few different times and they never disappoint. Love the various cheesesteaks as well as the appetizers. Recently tried the Buffalo chicken salad and it was delicious. Definitely recommend it as well as the Buffalo chicken fries. And I always have to get their onion rings because they are the best!"

"I’m a Jax native but have lived in Dallas for a while now. We have the best Mexican Tex Mex food in Texas. Obviously because Tex Mex was created in Texas. However, I always crave TacoLu’s Baja style tacos and food when we’re in town every month. I haven’t found anywhere that does the Carne Royale Tacos or comes close. They’re my favorite and the flavors work so well together. I wish there was more room at Bar and a bit easier to order drinks while waiting sometimes up to an hour for a table. We’ve been coming to Lu since it opened and the bar staff isn’t the most friendly on certain days. Some days they’re great. The hosts/ hostesses/ waitstaff are always amazing. I didn’t want to take off a star for the bar staff on this visit which was a Sunday early afternoon, but I wish they were consistently nice. As business owners in Jax Dallas I know it’s hard to find the perfect team and you can’t teach personality. We also bring our employees here for drinks and food to treat them. The Tamarind and Jalapeño Margaritas are always amazing! Our go to tacos are the Carne Royal the $10 taco. We’ve had all the tacos on the menu but those two never disappoint. Our sever Malakai was definitely one of the nicest servers we’ve had in a long time!"

"Great food and great service, it's my favorite place for gluten free pizza, the Great White Pizza is my favorite, so good. This location has a good sized outdoor patio, with a nice sitting area by the tv and corn hole he's set up for the kids to play while you're wait for you food. Parking lot was a little confusing because if you park behind the restaurant and walk around, the first patio you come to is actually Salt Life and you don't actually realize that both restaurants share the same building at first. Pay attention to the correct patio entrance."
