"Nice small family restaurant. We have enjoyed everything we've eaten! The service was good decently friendly. My kids like the food too have eveb tried new things since being there (they're 7 3). Prices are comparable to others in the area. The kids love the ocean decor!"

"Ordered a range of dishes to taste and see to how each dish is done. All were great and had a lot of care into them. Delicious. This is a great spot for all ages and get togethers. Vibes are great. A good hangout and grub. I had the Half-Chicken, 3 tacos de pastor, and a Tostada de Ceviche. PRICES ARE GREAT TOOO. Would recommend!!!"

"I am originally from Los Angeles, CA so I?ve been to several authentic Mexican restaurants. I?ve been to many ?Mexican? restaurants in Ohio and the Midwest in general since I moved here a decade ago and I am always disappointed because they havethe audacity to say they serve Mexican food when in reality they don?t. However, each time someone tells me about a Mexicanrestaurant to try I go in hopes that this time it will be different. Let me tell you, tonight it was totally different. TheBattleground is by far one of the BEST actually authentic Mexican restaurants I?ve ever been to out of the 29 states I?vevisited. They have two cute outdoor seating areas, they have a bar area indoor, and an area for general seating area. The decoris intimate and the staff is so helpful. I asked tons of questions and they were so patient with me. Rush hour started around6pm and it became a little hard to hear my partner but we just sat a little closer to each other, which wasn?t an issue foreither of us. He ordered the Jicama Salad and I ordered the Chile Sorpresa. Both were deliciously cooked and clean presentation.We ordered the Tamal Chocolate, which was ammmmmmmmmmazing. We are so excited to return for taco nights and to see the livemusic they have on Saturdays. This place is a gem! We sat close to the kitchen so we got to take a look at everything that cameout and it was so hard to not keep ordering more items. I unfortunately didn?t wear my stretchy pants. The pictures here don?tdo it justice. Oh and I almost forgot to tell you about the driiinnks I got the Jam Cider (lots of berries) and bae got theBuena Noche (pomegranate, mezcal, and I forgot what else). They were both so delicious! We are definitely ubering next time sowe can have more than one."

"We will NEVER go back to Barrio in Kent ! The waitress was very pushy on serving pitchers of margaritas said we would only get 3 glasses per picture for our party of 6 recommended we order 2 pictures which were all ice and extremely weak we were never told a price and got charged $60 per picture!!!!! What a total rip off in Kent! We asked the manager about it and her response was ?well you drank them?. Very disappointing and extremely deceiving!"

"Dinner here was baaad. the salsa was like ketchup, the hamburger was wrapped in foil and the bun was stale as a rock, the chimichanga was flavorless, the beans...I'm not sure they were beans, and to top it off we saw the bartender and a waitress each take a straw dipped dip out of customer margaritas before serving. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner"
