"Due to the fact this restaurant has a limited number of tables and we couldn't get a reservation during high season, we were excited about our dinner to entertain out of town guests. The excitement unfortunately was short lived. Although the sangria and Moscow mule were delicious, the food left quite a bit to be desired. They offered a presentation buffet of assorted tapas. Most if not all the tapas were bread based and with 90% humidity here in Puerto Vallarta, you don't have to be a genius to know bread is going to get stale almost immediately. Stale bread, no mater what they are topped with doesn't make for a good meal. We then ordered salad, calamari and gazpacho. Although the salad was fresh, the dressing needed additional seasoning. The calamari was tough and seemed to be undercooked and the soup was only adequate. Needles to say, we finished our cocktails, paid our bill and walked to Archies Wok for dinner.Since we are locals, we hope this was just an off evening and look forward to our next visit to try this well respected restaurant yet again."

"The service was excellent. We were a party of 8 and had a reservation(then goodness) After we set ourselves, we noticed that there was a huge line-up to get in. Although there were only 2 waiters, our food was delivered in a timely matter and the waiter took his time to joke with us and make sure everything was good. We never felt rushed to finish and get out. Regarding the food and the price, everything was a big surprise, as the food was delicious, well presented and the drinks were fairly liberal and the costs were good within the budget of everyone since we were in a tourist zone. Have a great place to eat and have fun"

"We go to this restaurant every time we come to vallarta. We always order Frieda'S dinner which consists of a margaritas or tequila to start, followed by peanut soup (sounds soup trance but is fabulous), then a chilled chile rellano topped with cream and pomegranate seeds, then your entree--I always have the chicken mole--wine is included--and then flan for dessert. This whole dinner with the beverages was $56 US for TWO!! The restaurant is filled with Frieda Kalo memorabilia and pictures of famous patrons who have dined there. We love it"

"Good food but pricey. Fish was good. Paloma was good. Tres Leches was dry and not good after soaking it in the milk. Everyone was friendly and the place was fun when the DJ came on. Would go back but try different items."
