"Just from the spontaneous visit to the lapiazza, I am thrilled by the kitchen and the service. together with my sister I took a great dinner: tomatensuppe (after my wish without cream in the dere - so the suppe was prepared for me specially!,) after that taglio di manzo with fresh vegetables, for my sister cuddly with mushrooms and tomatoes and fagottini al gusto di tartuffo. the meat was super-sweet, the nice crunchy, all after my taste. a limoncello would have been offered, but I still had to drive."

"We'd spent the day at Rheinfall and as we had to change trains at Scaffhausen decided to have a look round and also find somewhere for drinks. The cafe is located just before the Metzgerbrunnen statue/square and has a large pavement seating area. The waitress who served us was really cheerful, friendly and happy to have some banter in English - well done to her! Our drinks arrived promptly and we were happy to sit and watch the world go by for a while before moving on. OK so prices aren't cheap but where's anywhere cheap in Switzerland!"

"Nice italian restaurant in the beautiful town of Schaffhausen. Food was good and the portions were generous. The fries that came with the pork chop were a little too salty, and the pork was slightly too tough for my liking. However, the pastas (crab/lobster linguine, bolognese) were delicious. As with most meals in Switzerland, it was slightly pricey. Candies offered at the end of the meal were a sweet bonus."
