"La Vid gives honor to its name. It is full of life. The hacienda style restauran provides delicious cuisine and yummy cocktails. We had a combination of the parrillada, queso fundido, and molcajete dishes. A true taste of authentic Mexican food."

"Happened to stop in, Deb was super welcoming. Wait service was great. We sat outside at a table on the dead end street looking out to the beach, sounds of the waves crashing. First dinner on the coast as we were just arriving. I had a lovely huge salad. It was a very interesting combination of apple, banana, roasted pecans, chicken, avocado and lettuce mix. It was such a nice fresh change after a week of travelling in the mountains of Jalisco!"

"One caveat - see the BLOCK FONT at the end of this review...We have eaten there many times. We come every year from PV. The location is right off a cute zocolo, in a cute little building with an open air court yard filled with birds and plants. You walk right through the kitchen and so can see everything happening. The staff are super friendly. The prices are cheap. The food is made on the spot and is good home cooking. There are a number of free appies / condiments that come out ahead of time. The courtyard is so tranquil, filled with art and photos. We have been there for lunch, brunch and breakfast. Now my one request to the owner - PLEASE, FOR THE SAKE OF THE POOR BIRDS STUFFED IN THE CAGES, GET LARGER CAGES (3X MINIMUM). YEAR AFTER YEAR I SEE THAT POOR PARROT (AND FINCHES) STUFFED INTO THE TINY CAGES AND IT IS HEARTBREAKING. The Rosita hotel has it right in PV by fencing off the roof area so they can fly freely. Aside from this, we will come back year after year. It is one of our favorite restaurants in all of the PV / Jalisco area."

"If you want to enjoy the most delicious taste of traditional Mexican Food and the best courteous and professional service in Tlaquepaque don't miss to dine at Adobe.I took my Mom to celebrate her 86th birthday, and they just didn't stop to amaze me, beginning with the host who in a courteous manner invited us and show is around their restaurant and local art gallery...They greet us with two complimentary amazingly delicious tamarind margaritas...Their tortilla soup it's excellent not spicy at all... And their feature seasonal dish "Chile en Nogada" it's to die for... It's the most selected dish of the Mexican cuisine... A Poblano pepper well deveined so it's not spicy at all, stuffed with ground beef, almonds, raisins, apricot etc... Dressed with a pecan creamy sweet sauce garnished the with pomegranate kernels and cussed pecans portraying the colors of our Mexican flag... Try it out and you will love this dish forever ever...They have live music from 2 to 4 pm, but they also allow local troubadour to serenade you at your table... For a full Mexican experience... I highly recommend this place...Their service is extremely fast professional and courteous, Management and servers...I couldn't have pick a better place to dine and celebrate my Mom... Gracias amigos buen trabajo...!!"
