"With my recent move from Fort Worth to Waco I 've been in search of the best this area has to offer. My coworkers at my new job brought me to Shorty 's for a Friday Happy Hour and I wasn 't disappointed. From the half pitcher of cold Lone Star to the Spicy Slice of The Day (pepperoni and jalapeño) to the five piece order of wings ordered Hot , everything was delicious. The pizza was a medium sized slice on a NY style crust with a special Bone Sauce that was spicy but blended well with the other ingredients. The wings were juicy with great flavor and were smothered with sauce (extra napkins are a must). The only thing that was disappointing was the level of heat for the wings. Ordering the Hot which according to our delightful waitress Gabby was the hottest sauce on the wing menu was more along the medium range. After chatting a bit with the manager on duty (who was very personable and informative) he brought out a small jar of mixed pepper flakes (reaper, ghost, habanero, scorpion) and that brought the heat level up! There is a large patio area with plenty of seating and a nice bar inside for those who prefer that. All in all it was a great experience spent with new friends in a quaint little pizza/wing shop that caters to the local college crowd but was more than comfortable for someone on the experienced side of life. I look forward to my next visit! This visit receives 8 out of 10 Frog Legs"

"Great dinner! Our party of 6 had a great waiter and he made awesome dinner recommendations. Three of us had the chicken piccata, the others had halibut, lamb chops, and the pesto linguine. We ended dinner with the cheese cake. The whole restaurant staff was friendly and helpful. You absolutely have to have the flaming cheese!"

"This place is so good I hate to tell people for fear I will not be able to get in when I want to eat there. I have a problem deciding what to order because I enjoy everything so much. I wish they would add a combo platter or specialty plate with the chicken flautas's which are one of my favorites."

"Overall I had a pretty good experience. This is a good place for a date or to eat with your family. The restaurant is clean and the staff is nice. I had the Salmon on rice. It was pretty good. I would recommend the brisket queso. I really enjoyed the salad and my sweet potato. The chocolate cheesecake was very rich. If you love chocolate this would be a great dessert for you. I went in the evening on a Tuesday so it wasn't too busy."

"It was perfect this morning. from our waiter service to our quick refills. I said no when I asked about chips refills, but the waiter has brought something anyway! (who was a good call we ate) . the chicken flute ordered and everything was amazing. Come back soon!"

"Arrival at 8:05. I sat at 8:15 and was happy when they weren't so busy. We sat there until 8:30 before I had to get up and ask for a waitress or waitress. The sweet lady in front asked a waiter who was on our side if he could help us that we have been here for some time without even being asked for our drinks order. The waiter reacted to them because they don't like it... the woman who asked him can stay very rude. She almost came in tears to our table and was super apologetic and said she would soon get someone. We then got a waitress who helped take our order at 8:40. It is now 9:59 and not yet received food. There are literally only 2 tables at this time! The worst service I've ever experienced. Drove of lampasas to eat in this place as the in seguin is my wife 's favorite where she grew up, so we decided to waco to get her favorite dish. She got her chickens Ranchero Tacos and she opened her and one of the tacos had soggy chips in it and tiny amount of chicken. The waitress was very embarrassing. The other Taco was very delicious as the Carnitas were also amazing! Very clean facilities and food was also quite good. The service was very terrible next to the hostess, and the waitress we finally got."
