"We had a party of 8, made reservations weeks in advance. We checked in and they could have cared less left us standing around and it wasn't busy. 6 out of the 8 meals were over cooked or burnt. Mentioned it to the manager and she did nothing. The food was awful and way over priced. If I could post a zero, I would. Don't waste your time or money."

"My daughter and I really like the food in all Il Foraio restaurants that we have tried (Coronado, Santa Monica and Del Mar), but we have found the settings and service of the restaurant staff at the Del Mar site to be unpleasant. The employees we treated were pretentious, unpleasant and inefficient. We waited for the service until the last time we had eaten there, that we almost gave up and left. Our water and tea glasses were never filled again, and our salad plates were sitting on the table during the duck, although we asked to remove them. My daughter loves the French toast served on Sunday brunch, but if not for the Pasta Putanesca, and that there is a long drive to another Il Fornaio site, I wouldn't return."

"We don't dine out as often as some, so when we pick a place we are very particular. Il Fornaio is one of our favorites and is consistently excellent. My pasta, marinara and grilled chicken was great. Cindi's got the seafood mixed grill and was completely satisfied. We finished with the cannoli. Perfecto"
