"On Saturday night, my father I arrived here after doing a great 2 hour walking tour around Perth with 2 Feet a Heatbeat (Highly Recommend them! . We finished up and were looking for a place for dinner, nothing booked or planned. We thought...we'd like an Italian meal and googled best place to go Lalla Rookh was one of the first on the list. We arrived and enquired on a table, were advised the formal dining area was full, but the casual area was available with the same menu. The lady who spoke with us, didn't seem interested in the least in our custom. Eager to rest and eat, we sat and perused the menu, then after about 10 mins, we tried to get a waiters attention, a couple of times. But no one would look at us. The Bar man saw us as we were in his line of sight. But again, he did not let anyone know we were trying to get some attention. And so, we left, not trying the food, but instead very disappointed in the service received. Not recommended, don't bother going. I Do recommend The Sentinel, where we walked to from Lalla Rookh. The Sentinel was great. Lovely staff, happy and smiling. Fantastic food. We enjoyed a lovely 2 course meal each with some wine. Highly Recommend this place as the alternative."
