"I was there for Harry Styles last night. After reading the reviews I wouldn't of eaten there. But my experience was 1st class. I had walked passed it but realised I didn't want to eat in the city centre. So walked back. The food was outstanding, service was perfect. Yes was slightly expensive. But was well worth it."

"Came here on Saturday the 13th. The Bouncer firstly accused my friend of being on drugs when he wasn’t at all. He asked us where we had been, we told him truthfully and he claimed not to know where we were talking about. He then refused my friends paper covid passport demanding an electronic version despite explaining his phone was out of battery. My other friend then tried to argue his case and he refused us entry despite saying nothing offensive. But no you should definitely come here if you want bouncers who are on a massive power trip and make pre conceptions of people before they’ve walked through the door. Wouldn’t mind but we were practically sober since it was so hard to get in anywhere. A group of girls waltzed straight in without having to show any covid passport which I think just about sums the place up. Supervisor was about as much use as a chocolate teapot as well. Won’t be coming back in a hurry and would like to speak to management to discuss the threats we received. Look forward to hearing from you."

"Large selection menu so not only for gay friends! the lunch here before a gig and the staff were very slow to our time, although they were very busy. excellent service and would be back but on the expensive side so likely to be reserved for special occasions."

"Thursday night at Bootlegger in Cardiff was fantastic. Loved the chilled atmosphere and great selection of cocktails which were expertly made by Lin. The live Jazz music was incredibly good. It was a perfect place to end up for a good evening of entertainment. Joyful and so well done. Price per person: £30–40"

"After a lovely evening, it all just fell apart at dessert. On arrival we were asked to present our voucher which we did and this was taken from us. Unfortunately, this was not deducted from the bill and when we queried this, we were told ‘we will take your word for it!’ As if we were lying. No! We gave you our £100 voucher in good faith. This should have been deducted from the total. After settling the bill and making our way out of the restaurant, we were chased down (loudly) by a male member of staff saying we hadn’t settled the bill. On walking back in we were advised it had been paid. We were humiliated. At dinner we were talking about how we will bring family, but this will not be happening. I shall tell every one of our experience. Also, to add insult to injury, the cheesecake is baked after being assured it was not. I will add, the male server who brought us our meals could not have been nicer. He is the only reason for 1 star."
