"I went out of my way to visit this restaurant whilst travelling alone around Canada. It was very busy and I was invited to sit at the bar area, which was fine. The guy taking my order was great and made a few recommendations. The food was excellent - if I had to pick a complaint possibly a bit too much sauce. However, I felt once I'd finished they just wanted rid of me, my plate was snatched away as I took my last mouthful and the bill presented. I would have liked a coffee. They then stood two people directly behind me and told them I was leaving despite the fact I still had a drink left. So all in all, lovely food but service could improve."

"We went to Absinthe for Valentine's Day and ordered our meal in advance. The staff was very friendly, remembered all the details of our meal choices, and were prompt and attentive. We had the three course fondue, which was very tasty. This is our favorite restaurant in Ottawa."

"Popped in for a quick snack. Ignored by the waitress. Left after minutes. Eaten here several times and the food is good. Found another spot and had a great meal. Won’t be back to this place anytime soon."

"Found the small patio on the market, a nice quiet spot in a busy place. I had the salad rolls, which are nice and full of large shrimp, and the calamari was very well done.The highlight was the pho, it could have been the best pho I've had, a lot of beef and noodles, generous sprouts on the side, and nice and hot.Highly recommend this nice quaint spot if you like Vietnamese cuisine!"

"Only been here once but would definitely go again! Had the lamb burger with a salad. Very tasty, juicy burger. Service was friendly and attentive. Nice atmosphere. Looking forward to going back"

"What an amazing, lively atmosphere! We went after work this Thursday. It was crowded, but still plenty of seats available for us. All sorts of people from casual to dressed up, hip, old and young. Amazing to see that type of variety on one location. No one looked out of place. Both of us ordered steaks and we both fully enjoyed. I loved the smokey flavour and it was cooked perfectly. We'll definitely be coming back."
