"What a wonderful find. We arrived near closing time and they were more than happy and welcoming to offer us a wine tasting. Up a winding, hilly road, you know you've arrived at a special place. The indoor tasting room was cozy and well appointed, but we opted for the outdoor patio...........we're still avoiding indoors and crowds, COVID pandemic, (endemic? , you know. Each wine was not what we expected. Chardonnay, Primativo, Cab Blend are all familiar tastes. But the Narrow Gate wines have their own version on these classics. And each one was enjoyable. Our 11 year old daughter thinks all wines smell the same. However, she did enjoy smelling the Cocoa infused port. And we enjoyed tasting it. The wine steward and the Owner were friendly and knowledge. Like old friends. Telling us about the region, the winery's history and dinner recommendations. The reasonable tasting fee was waived with the purchase of a bottle of wine per person. The outdoor patio was relaxing and the perfect setting. The tall pines provided shade. Don't miss the architectural detail of the main building with the rustic large entrance door and wood shutters with metal work."
