"Decided to take a break at this place for Lunch. Decent food for low cost. The food here has a local taste. There is also a sweet shop attached where you an try local variety of sweet meats. Helpful staff. Family friendly ambience. A good...place if you want to interact with the locals. Located at the heart of market and just opposite Bus stand the restaurant is easy to find. Parking available which is a bonus on the crowded market street. Do try the South Indian thali. They also provide North Indian thali if you are tired of South Indian food."

"Kamath is a large establishment in Hubli and is divided in three parts, general, family and air-conditioned section. The place is spanking clean but the same can not be said about the toilet on the mezzanine floor. They need to service it frequently as it is being used by a large number of patrons.We stopped there for lunch/ snacks on our way to and return from Hampi. All dishes which we tried including dosai, idalis, bvada, bonda, poori bhaji, seera, palak bhajia etc. were very good and tasty. The service was quite prompt and prices quite reasonable. It was pleasure to have our mid- journey break at Kamat."
