"The place looks very typical as it is their food. The staff are friendly and helpful and the local is quite large and quiet. We had a wonderful time there. I can't remember the check, but it wasn't expensive. A strong recommendation."

"Back on the track. After a coat hanger in the kitchen some time ago, the level is again as good as before. In addition to classics, there are regular seasonal specialities. Multilingual staff who are fairly attentive English menus available. Good menu choices and good beer Traditional food served Food...is unexceptional, verging on bland but sufficient portion size. "The entrance is on Weber Strasse and easy to find. All taxi drivers know it, close public transport. The restaurant is quite authentic and has a very nice german ambience. The emphasis here is on what you might call pub food hearty and traditional. My friend had a burger which he said was the best he’d ever eaten and I had the himmel und erd which is the black pudding and mashed potato both dishes excellent. I ordered the dark beer in half litre glasses the only one in the restaurant to do so most locals will opt for the small kolsch glasses which are considered more elegant and “west of the Rhine”. The place was popular with all ages but no children and I don’t think this is a place where children would have a good time or be appreciated by the clientele. It would be impossible to order entree and main sizes are large. Service was good seemed like a family business and staff friendly with patrons. A menu in English is available. I did not find a better restaurant in Bonn and I was there for a week. Very good value for money will certainly return and recommend."
