"We read good Google reviews and decided to give the Veggie Planet restaurant a try. The restaurant offers vegetarian and vegan options. Parking is plentiful and free. Free Wi-Fi. The inside of the restaurant definitely needs updating and cleaning; not that's its totally disgusting but just needs a good clean. When you enter the restaurant the menu is posted on a wall that is easily read but it does not have any explanation below each menu item which makes you wonder what's it made out of. I think by offering a few words underneath each item giving an explanation as to what it is would definitely help people who are not of East Indian descent. The washroom (there is only one shared washroom) itself was not totally clean but again not totally disgusting; which is similar to the inside decor of the restaurant. Food: we love the fact that there is the option of having your food fried or baked. The Indian Samosa is a definite five star! It was delicious and the chutney sauce that accompanied it was excellent. The Vada Burger and Kachori Burger were absolutely awesome and is something we would definitely order again. We love the fact that the burgers came loaded with lettuce onions cucumbers tomatoes in other words it was extremely flavourful, better than any other fast food restaurant. We ordered two sides, one potato wedges and onion rings. The potato wedges were very well seasoned and crispy and is a definite 5-star side dish. The onion rings however lacked flavour and crunch; we were quite surprised that you only get 6 small onion rings. We only give this 2 stars and would definitely not order the onion rings again. Although there are signs posted throughout the restaurant for customers to clean up their table, not all customers are respectful and this unfortunately leaves several tables dirty. Staff need to pay better attention to cleaning tables and chairs as there were several dirty tables and chairs upon our arrival. The Basil Pesto Naanza is fantastic! The crust is thin and crispy, vegatables, broccoli peppers olives and feta cheese make it taste extremely velvety and creamy. This is a definite 5-star dish. The Schezwan Naanza is equally fantastic with an added zing of spice! The red peppers green peppers broccoli green onions black olives and mushrooms make this a definite 5-star dish. While we were there, several East Indian families came into this restaurant which makes us think it's definitely an authentic East Indian food restaurant. So the real question is, would we return? The answer is a definite yes! We do hope the owners do a cleaning but it's the food that we were definitely impressed with"

"First of all why ask for a name under reservation if you are going to ask the customer questions such as how many people are under the reservation. Did you not collect this information over the phone? And also look at your sheet that has names for reservations and how many people are attending, instead of heckling the customer. Secondly, Brittney, Brittney. I DONT think she has been trained by management. She didnt take all of our drink orders, she talked too fast and left before we could get a word in. I had to call her back for my drink order. Our glasses were empty for an hour! The waitresses walked by and no one attended to us. If you are shortstaffed, maybe not take reservations more than you can handle. We waited hour and half for our food just like everyone else who were complaining too! There answer, we are shortstaffed . If you are, dont overfill your restaurant with 4 girls working only. Also look at the nachos we got served. No cheese and they look so sad for 18. The owner doesnt know how to run a restaurant with overbooking customers and serving miserable nachos. Brittany needs to be trained or fired. She gave terrible service. We asked her to bring the bill. Waited another 15 mins and we see shes taking orders for someone else. Another waitress came and asked if we needed the bill while we waited some more and we said yes like how disorganized are you. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. IT IS DEFINITELY NOT 4 STARS AND YOU BEST READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS BEFORE SPENDING 100 ON TASTELESS COLD FOOD. Terrible. Terrible. No one is writing negative reviews and the owner is going around giving sassy replies to anyone writing a bad review. Learn how to run a restaurant first."

"There was other tables inside the restaurant, service was very very slow. Was our first time out since Covid. And our Anniversary We just did apps and beers. Took long time to get the food. And the food was bland. No flavour at all. Not impressed and won’t return"

"On a recent work trip, a colleague and I found ourselves at Cagney's. It was a delightful departure from our typical haunts in Mississauga, and we already look forward to visiting again. Jackie, our server and bartender, was warm and enthusiastic immediately upon our arrival. Her recommendations were spot on, and while we were skeptical that five starters would be enough food, she did not lead us astray. Everything was fresh and delicious and oh my goodness, SO FILLING. Per her suggestion, we had escargots, crab cakes, lamb spiducci, grilled calamari, and the Greek salad. I am always excited to see grilled calamari on a menu, but not every restaurant nails it. Cagney's scored big time with this one. Great combination of flavors across the board and the calamari itself was perfectly tender.It was a quiet night when we arrived as the kitchen was getting ready to close, but this didn't stop Jackie from displaying the utmost in hospitality. We shut down the restaurant, staying to chat long after we had put down our forks. It really does feel like a great neighborhood gem, and we're so glad we had a chance to experience it!"
