"We were only in Koblenz for night so we asked at our hotel for a recommendation for good German food. We were given several choices but told that SauBar is where the locals go and is the best. The restaurant sits back from a...main square which made the Biergarten quiet and inviting. We chose to sit outside which was very relaxing. The service was great with a friendly waitress who was always timely. The outside tables have large umbrellas which came in very handy when it started to sprinkle and then rain. This did NOT dampen our mood or our meal. We both ordered the Schnitzel which was excellent!!! A very memorable meal and evening. Hope someday to be able to return. Well worth flying to Europe for"

"The restaurant is small and could probably be in Italy. Without constant Italian music, you can concentrate on the person you are talking to with subtle room decorations. The food is good (but nothing more . From delicious tuna to vegetarian, there is something for everyone. What I found remarkable was the mashed potatoes, which (requested beforehand were actually homemade! Summa sumarum: Neat, no frills. Good food on the plate without any special presentation. The price is competitive but for me personally it 's too expensive... (I doubt I 'll visit again. Wheelchair accessibility: Access is at street level. However, the toilet gets tight!"

"Despite, not being locals, we were warmly greeted and welcomed. We only had a few beers, but it was a great stop to come in out of the cold. Great beer selection. There is a traditional ceramic heater so it was nice and cozy. The menu looked good with a big selection of german favorites to include sausages, cheese, and Flammekuchen! Don't miss this gem!"

"It was really great here! My friend has been here for the first time since his 11th. A year of life taken a soft drink, I was super proud. The waiter has done a good convincing job. My mother-in-law, on the other hand, did not take the food so well and got strong blows. At least we had the complete place for us. The best deception came to the end. We had already asked ourselves in advance why the local Da Vinci was called. And then the big show came from him! Suddenly, Hundertwasser stood before us and gave a lecture on the advantages of internal combustion engines in Tanzania. That was impressive and inspiring, happy again! Great place with something."

"We had the dishes menu, it was really awesome, very tasty. Everything to perfection. With a fantastic wine pairing. The service was good, but not to perfection as the meal, for example they could let you know more precisely what's on your dish. And...a bit more details about the wine would be welcoming. "I can't say enough about this place. the best atmosphere at every place I was in Germany. the bartender was friendly and funny. the beer was great. eating was perfect, not complaining. great place to come with my family and open some English menus and eat hot and fresh and the beer cold and the cozy environment, and to see that all others enjoy themselves."
