"El restaurant está dentro de un hotel nuevo y muy lujoso! Vine con mi novia y me atendieron muy bien .... la decoración es hermosa! Amo la madera y el concepto de este restaurant es fabuloso!Pedimos un Rib Eye y lo prepararon en un horno con parrilla y tenía un gusto ahumado delicioso! Gracias Carlos (el mesero) que nos recomendó otros lugares para visitar y conocer! con gusto volveremos !"

"We stayed in the hotel below (Hotel El Punto) and decided to head upstairs for a drink. It was early (for a late-night bar/club) so there were only a handful of people there. The design is nice, the service was good, and the drinks were well-made and reasonably priced. Things definitely picked up later, so don't stay in the hotel below if you can not sleep through drunken, stomping footsteps and club music."

"The atmosphere here was truly incredible, open air restaurant with a beautiful breeze and a full moon when we ate there on our last night. We spent 7 days at La Perla and ate at The Grill three times for dinner. All the meats were...truly exceptional, best we’ve ever had. Our waiter was Hector on two occasions, he was amazing, friendly, helpful and very interested in our enjoyment of the meal."

"Food was good but not great although the owner raves about how his carbonara is the best in the world. The 400 gram steak was more like a 200 gram steak , shrimp scampi was very tasty. The vegetables Medley was delightful. Deserts are average....We had tiramisu and key lime parfait. We were told the parfait was the best but it left much to be desired. Service was poor. It started out with much enthusiasm but we were ignored after we got our meals. Also they never asked if our steak was prepared as requested. It was not."

"Absolutely not one criticism nor complaint about this restaurant from the service given by the wait staff to the delivery and standard of the food and all the little good bits in between.My wife and myself visited in July and it was a really lovely treat, I have read reports saying it is expensive, not so in my opinion as the quality far outweighs the prices paid. Do yourself a favour if you are in Playa and visit this superb eatery."

"This place is a favorite when visiting Playa del Carmen. On a street full of vendors, shoppers, restaurants and overwhelmed tourists, this is the place to go to relax for a while and just watch it all pass by. Enjoy delicious fresh food and cocktails served by very friendly staff who aim to please... our server on the last two visits was Miguel. He remembered our names and even our dog’s name! A favorite afternoon snack is the tequila queso fundido and the cerviche camaron. There’s lots to choose from for vegetarians too."
