"Went on a late rainy Saturday afternoon around 4pm and we still had to wait. This place is so popular. We waited only for 10min so that was pretty good. We sat at a table by the window which was great since the kids were able to look out the window and kept them entertained. No crayons at this chain. Even though they didn’t have a children’s menu they are definitely able to accommodate. So the kids got mac and cheese and pizza. The pizza looked good but the mac and cheese was too cheesy. The small bowl of mac and cheese cost $4.95 plus $1.75 for a drink. Not worth that price. I ordered the pasta da vinci $10.95 (lunch portion available before 5pm) and it was plenty large. I can’t imagine how big the dinner portion would have been. We started with the popcorn shrimp which I've ordered before but they must have changed their recipe b/c it was too breaded and fried (and I don’t mine the breading part). The waiter was spacey and took forever to get our bread. We asked him to have a birthday surprise for my daughter who turned six. He said it was complimentary and consisted of vanilla ice cream, hot fudge and whip cream. No hot fudge and they charged us for the ice cream. If the service was better the overall dining experience would have scored higher. Just remember not to order too much food b/c the portions are large. Great cheesecake at $6.25 by the way, but would you expect anything less?"

"We have been going to this Rainforest Cafe for years. This was the worst experience we have ever had. First, we were seated in a section of the restaurant that was freezing. We were sitting in our seats shacking. We mentioned it to the waiter numerous times and we were never re-seated. The service was also very very slow for the restaurant not being that busy. Second, the table behind us was seated for about 15 or so minutes. They were so cold that they just got up and left. The bus person came over and just reset the table, not replacing the silverware or cleaning the table. Shortly after another party was seated at that dirty table. Finally, the manager came over and we again told him how cold it was. He said sorry can I get you dessert? Atleast it won 't melt. We told him about the table behind us and he went over and picked up the silverware. While the manager rectified the situation we will not be back."

"Grand Lux is slowing going down in standards. Yesterday we had lunch there. My wife had a burger, I had the caramel chicken. Kids had chicken paramegano and Glazed salmon. Well..fist problem, when the check came I noticed that the chicken parmasan was charged at the dinner price which we asked for the lunch special. I pointed it out to the waitress, she went back the office and she said that they could not change it!!! I mean talk about bad customer service! It get worse, my wife not 15 minutes later had to make a mad dash to the bathrooms from a very upset stomach! Ok so the extra money i paid for the dinner portion was not a big deal, but they didn't even try to accommodate me. I think Grand Lux is X'ed off my list!"
