"We were sent away because of cross contamination even though online it says they have gluten free options. That is false advertising in my opinion. I was also asked “how bad is it?” Which is not how celiac disease works."

"We checked out their electric Asian fusion menu before entering the cafe & picked out what we wanted to order. The first thing my husband & I noticed when entering this tiny store-front eatery was the ear-splitting rap music. We could hardly make out what the counter server was saying. I was disappointed to be told when I ordered the grilled pork & prawn designer salad rolls that they did not have any prawns. Why not? We were there before noon. So, I settled on just having pork. The serving portion was very generous with two large rolls & a dipping sauce. The rolls contained nice bright flavors of fresh herbs, a good leaf lettuce not iceburg lettuce, crunchy peanuts, rice noodles, & sliced pork. My husband ordered a Halifax Donair. He had heard about them & wanted to try one. He hated it! He said the sauce was sickly sweet. This was not the fault of the cafe. It just was not to his taste. We also, had the strawberry/banana smoothies. They were acceptable but, not wonderful. We ate outside at their sidewalk tables as it the music was just too loud inside to enjoy any form of conversation. Because the tables & chairs are on a sloping sidewalk, it is a bit awkward to sit comfortably. I would go to Food Coma for take-out the next time. It is not a comfortable place to eat inside or out."

"Recently moved here from the Peg, where Delis' are king, so i was craving a corned beef sandwich. Stopped in at Nellie's since their title says "Deli" but far from it! Their rye bread was square & thin which I've never seen before- usually fresh rye is a crusty round loaf where you can see the rye seeds in the bread- and they really skimp on the corned beef! The server asked what kind of veggies I would like on it ---WHOA--if I wanted that kind of sandwich I would go to Subway...further insult asked if I wanted mayo & salt & pepper! Clearly the owner & staff are not familiar with "THE" corned beef sandwich & to charge $8! Check out my pic for a true C.B.S"
