"If you're after top quality meat, cooked simply and served with frites and a basic green salad then this is the place for you. It's part restaurant part boucherie so they're proud of their fresh and well sourced produce. The dining area is a shabby,...tightly packed, outdoor courtyard with well used Formica tables and a gravel floor, which doesn't look promising. The clientele were mostly French, tourists and locals, the atmosphere is chatty and lively. Only one waitress served the entire place, but she didn't put a foot wrong and we received our food quickly. Be warned though that you may be sat next to smokers, for me this is a downside to eating outdoors in French restaurants. We ate slow cooked lamb shoulder, lamb cutlets, and Côte de Boeuf (shared between two), all of which were tasty and well cooked. Portion sizes were ok, the lamb shoulder possibly a bit small, the others were fine but not huge. Frites and a dressed green salad come with everything, good chips, nice salad. This is basic dining at it's best, a short simple menu offering excellent cuts of meat and local wine at reasonable prices. It's the perfect antidote to the generic, tourist restaurants that dominate the town centre."
