"We live very close to this restaurant but only visited a little while ago. It is small and intimate. The server staff was very friendly, The food was very good and we had a great time here. We will go back. We have a number of sushi restaurants in our 'hood but I really like this one. I'm vegie and they had a decent selection for me. The rest of us indulged in some pretty fine looking (and apparently tasty) sushi."

"I think it's the best place to get Poutine in Vancouver. I had the Poutine Combo and it was amazing. The hot dogs and the poutins! The woman who works there is the most beautiful! She let me know how much time my order would take!"

"I love poutine. My hands down favourite was a chip truck that traveled between Ottawa & Hull that I patronized almost every day for 3 months. Now in Vancouver, I thought I'd never taste that cheesy gravy goodness ever again. Everyone seems to be on that poutine chipwagon these days: Costco, McDonald's, NY Fries - still unsatisfactory. So, when I heard of Frenchie's and had personal friends rave about it my hopes were raised. The smoked meat was imported from Quebec and the proprietor was Quebecois - how could this go wrong?Well, it did. Mind you, it wasn't that it was all horrible - it just wasn't good enough. And the real problem is that they upsell you like there's no tomorrow. So having been there a couple times and giving it a chance, I cannot but give it a mediocre mark. The smoked meat sandwich was good but did not stand out despite the celebrated imported meat. The poutine was just okay - it wasn't served hot enough to melt the curds to the right consistency, even with the gravy (and this happened more than once). A companion ordered a "steamie" hot dog and it was the chief disappointment. Worst hot dog ever served in a restaurant. Being asked to pay money for that is an insult. It was basically a short hot dog you would pull out of a package and slap on a tiny bun. The fact that it was steamed does not make it acceptable. The beer selection was good, but all in all, the meals weren't worth the money.If you have had great authentic poutine from la belle province, and long to taste it again like me, keep looking. C'est dommage, (It's sad/too bad)."

"Second time visiting this store. The only only one where I can find Chilean products.Empanadas are always the best!The bad thing is they don't have prices for display items. I got several products and I have no idea how much I paid for every item.Also, the staff was not so friendly this time."

"Small place, looks bigger from the outside when one walks in. We tried to have lunch after the Vancouver Sun Run and left because it was so busy. Later that day we returned for tea and excellent cake, so I can't review any other food than their cake. Having said that: it all looked delicious, and I didn't see anything else but empty plates going back to the kitchen so that says it all!Friendly staff, food on display looks absolutely delicious."
