"Yesterday morning was a fantastic time. I remembered my high-time reception 53 years ago and decided to return to vellegia’s. now it is casa de pasta in italien. I bought meat sauce and cheese ravioli for two families. they could not have enjoyed dinner anymore and were so grateful for the fresh and melted in their mouth ravioli. more people should support this city treasure!"

"We were expecting more! They were out of manicotti and some steaks. Drinks were reasonably priced but quality matched price. Bruschetta was like pico de gallo on sliced french bread, san jalapenos. No olive oil, tomato, garlic or parmesan cheese. Our server was very nice but was doing double duty since bar tender didn't show up. When they brought our main course out, mine wasn't what I ordered and their idea of basked ziti, my wife's order was simply ziti pasta in tomato sauce not even baked! They took my dish back and returned with an almost right version of what I ordered. Still not exactly what the menu described but I wasn't going for a third tey. It was pretty good though not what I ordered. Best part of the meal was the cream of crab soup! It was full of crab, hot and absolutely delicious. Our server said they had a new chef, but he apparently wasn't schooled in preparation of their menu dishes. Absent the soup and the pleasant personality of our server, this probably would have been overall 1 star. Bottom line, DO NOT READ the reviews on their website (like I did). Either very, very old or written by owners or someone hired to write glowing reviews. Sorry, but a disappointing dining experience."
