"This is a very good community restaurant. If you wish typical (but interesting and well prepared) Portuguese food and prices are a good choice. We enjoyed traditional soups, an excellent fresh mixed salad, a “half dose” of very good beef steak (a generous amount for 2 people), rice and a bottle of premium douro wine. Our total fee was just over €30. Our server, Raquel, speaks English well. It was very helpful in our reservation and our order from the menu. We live in Vila Nova da Gaia near the river and the monastery of Serra do Pilar. It cost us about 10€ per route in a Uber for the 15 minutes drive to Avintes. The restaurant is located on a well-lit street and free parking is available. We will continue to visit this restaurant."
