"A little disappointing. I had been here a few years ago and enjoyed it immensely but I cannot review based on that. The dog was not very good at all. Pretty shriveled and flavorless. Like it had been sitting around a while. The bun was fresh and the fries were very good (think diner fries not fresh cut but I love 'em). We were there early in the day (before 11:00) in the dead of winter and this is definitely a summer place but that is no excuse. If you can 't keep your standards up off season, don 't be open. Again, was much, much better in the summer so I look forward to going back and hopefully having a much better experience and updating this review. Oh, and if you do go in the summer, it is packed and you will have to sit outside. That, in and of itself is not a terrible thing if not for the 600,000 bees hovering around the patio. This is a north Jersey institution and I 'm looking forward to a redemption next summer. As an added bonus if you are an immature idiot like me, you like to say you had a hot dog in Buttzville. Just something about that makes me smile."

"I tried the brisket sandwich with the house BBQ sauce and well done fries for lunch. The sandwich was delicious and flavorful but if you're looking for a big sandwich you'll be disappointed. Two thinly sliced pieces of brisket is what was on my sandwich. The wonderful taste of the sandwich and BBQ sauce lasted much longer than the sandwich. To be fair I've had sandwiches with more meat and they cost more. Good food is not cheap. The fries were not crisp and not soggy and not my definition of well done crispy and crunchy. Next time I'll skip the fries and order two sandwiches."

"5th time being there. Food was a disaster. Fish was super greasy and the fries where so salty you couldnt eat them. Manager comped me a 4 dollar drink and didnt even bother to come talk to us. Very disappointed."

"Tried to order horchata, out. Does not have tamales. Ordered 3 taco dinner, steak,chicken and brisket. Chicken had vein in it. Brisket was all fat. Beans were gritty and gray. So disappointed!"

"The NYE dinner was excellent and very good. A proposal: Next year you can want to change the order in which the food was set. Start with soup and salad and then sides to meat and Au Jus. Was a bit disorganized, but the food and service was excellent! I hope you'll do it again next year!"
