"We had been meaning to try this restaurant for a while having passed it a few times and it always being busy. We may have chosen badly but we were disappointed. The starters of croquettes and garlic prawns were pleasant but they have been at every restaurant. Bread was bought to the table without asking although there was a charge. We usually order bread so fine but it wasn’t the greatest bread. For main we should have just ordered some plain fish I suspect. Two of us had the lobster caldoso which I think was something of a tourist trap dish. There was no white lobster meat to speak of, just shell and the dish was very wet. The rice was quite bland and the soup not particularly pleasant. We had ordered extra bread when we saw how wet the dish was but I ended up eating it dry. The waiter seemed surprised at how much of the dish we left seeming to think there was something wrong with us not the dish (so perhaps it just didn’t suit us). I would still suggest avoiding it though. My brother didn’t much enjoy his tuna dish either, finding the tuna over cooked and the sauce too salty. My husband’s beef stroganoff was fine, although nothing special. We enjoyed the wine, but ordered one of the more expensive bottles. Would probably say this was between a 2 and 3 rating. The fish has been great at every restaurant we have been to here, I think the local fish is just good, they didn’t seem to do anything particularly special here. Having said that lots of people obviously enjoy it but not somewhere we will be returning to."
