"A heuriger is an East Austrian weintüt, in which weinbauer serve the latest weine of the year and where the gönners can experience cozyness (shy mood) (wikipedia). walter reuters heuriger is just a place to have a great time in weinland. we were quietly welcome with open poor. the place was full of native and the feeling was as if we were participating in a happy village meeting. only the waiter spoke English, but all around were eager to explain to us the habits of the place and the sweat the mood was cheerful and funny. we sat outside (weather permit) in the backyard, right next to the weinberg overlooking the abtei göttweig on the hill. we arrived at the late afternoon and stayed there at the sunset hypnotized by the atmosphere and the intention. the wee was of course a year old fantastic gruner vetliner, served with a meat and cheese dish, which also contained two small portion salad (on the plate itself) and a basket brot. other light foods are also available, but we have not tried. to dessert we had a disc of each of the two only cake options. this is a must because they are baked at home and nameless....so you can't find these cakes anywhere! a cake was made with wine cream that sent our taste buds right into the sky. we were then offered only a few weeks of wine, which was just as excellent. I bought two bottles of wine that came in label less 1 liter nice simple bottles. we paid 20 eu for 2 glasses wein, a meat and cheese plate with a basket of brot, two portion cakes and two a liter bottle wein two complementary glasses of new wine. I can't beat it! this was a really wonderful experience highly recommended!"
