"Dippy waiter had obviously had enough for the day. Said all pasta maid fresh. ordered the linguini, came back to say they were out and suggested ravioli. Ok, I ordered the ravioli, received tortilini. Didn't ask whether we wanted a dessert/coffee."

"Our BnB, The Big Sur, recommended we have dinner at this local restaurant a few minutes from their BnB. High in the mountains, away from the lake in a very small village, we weren’t expecting too much. Wow! We were blown away! By far, the best meal we had during our recent 2 wk Italy trip. Several waitresses spoke some English and were great to talk with! The homemade ravioli w sage and butter, my husbands pasta w meat sauce, we still dream of these dishes. They recommended a perfect bottle of wine which we enjoyed w our pasta and subsequent pizza. Our only regret? They were closed the following night or we most definitely would have gone back the 2nd night of our stay there! Worth the drive up those winding hills to find this gem!"

"On Thursday had to be booked in advance, but on Monday there were tables free at 8.30 o'clock. good eating with large portions. it was quite a wait to serve and our chips came after we had finished our main course! slightly chaotic, but excellent fish. 90 euro for 2 starters, 2 main, 2 beers and 1 wein."

"We went for dinner as a family to this touted restaurant where we were staying in Gardone. The best way to describe it was uneven the service, and the food was at some points excellent, and at others poor. The setting is wonderful lakeside on a grassy terrace with tasteful lighting. The first course was unanimously acclaimed. But there was mixed opinion on entrees the fillet my son had was exquisite, but both the Fiorentina and the Tomahawk were undercooked the former to the point of being practically raw. The waiter disappeared after the serving of our entree not to reappear until he was sought after to seek a check to pay. Wine was excellent, but after the initial pour, the waiter had disappeared, leaving us to not only pour for ourselves the rest of dinner, but never stopping back to see if we needed another bottle, which we would have appreciated. While it has many things to recommend it, I can 't give this restaurant more than 3 stars based on a disappointingly subpar performance and given that you will pay top price for the experience, I 'd suggest you look at other options, of which there are very many in the locale."
