"The main restaurant area presents a very complicated selection of uninspiring dishes and considering the location, a lack of seasonal local shellfish. The majority of our party considered they could have done better for the prices charged. The service staff are charming and polite but reliant on the restaurant hosts to answer queries about the menu and wines. Very high noise level making conversation difficult. We will visit this food outlet again during our stay because of the location, but dine at the outside fish and chip area."

"Where sweets are sold, I do not judge objectively, since I am a lover of baking and it is doubly pleasure when it is delicious. Everything is beautiful in this cafe. We came in the morning, the choice of pastries was not small in the window, took airy muffins and coffee, the Waiter kindly offered us water, as the day was supposed to be hot. We paid $ 9 and decided that we would go here for breakfast."

"Best cheese and tomato toastie I have ever had! Quality sourdough, oven-roasted tomatoes filled with flavour, a light cheese. On the side, a rocket salad with a beautiful homemade dressing. This was simple elegance on a plate … can’t wait to get another one. Well done!"

"We came in expecting bar food, to find a small diverse menu. Awesome layout and friendly staff, we had a French waitress who was attentive and friendly. We ordered rare pasture fed steak and it was amazing. Maybe a tad expensive but that is ascot/portside for you. Will definetly go there again for special occasions as the price is quite high. But otherwise way better value than the Italian restaurant across which I would never eat at again."

"The food served on cold plates so that the risotto was cold. The Portobello mushrooms were very small for 28 AUD. Carafe of the house white 65 AUD. Wine and food over price. Modern and beautiful looking restaurant, but the food was overwhelming. The restaurant was really cold and when I asked if they could shut off the air cone, I said it was not and it is winter.... yes it is winter so to close the door or some heating."

"Great friendly staff nice n clean but authentic Chinese food the garlic prawns are to die for as is the beef with black bean, the cashew chicken and friend rice the cook here never fails to deliver a great meal weather it's eat in or takeaway. I've been here a few times and never disappointed me ever if your near this restaurant drop in and see these people they are great"

"We went down and discovered that the first thing we noticed was the total lack of real ambiente. no music made everyone hesitate to relax and talk. (we asked about this and apparently because the only music avail is playing the same dreary jazz music. in foo yer, they had asked customers to turn it off). my wife turned to spotify to fill a small gap). we wanted something substantial but not too heavy, we spied the king size prawn pizza. when it arrived, there was no sign of king prawns and hardly any sign of garnish at all. we said it was not a good thing, but nothing happened. for $22 I added a comparison of our local pizza shop. definitiw ranked bitter pizza and probably on misleading advertising. in contrast, the breakfast was excellent, but still no music."
