"Man, how we LOVED the original Eugene’s in Haymarket. The venue and bar was awesome, and the server was spot on in helping us with both food and beverage choices. Fast forward to their new location menu is smaller, staff was a young woman mostly on her phone, and venue was lackluster. We stopped in early Saturday evening, and we both ordered the half smoked which was supposed to come with a pretzel bun. We were not served pretzel buns. The sausage was way too spicy for me to eat. So, I went back in and asked the girl 1) where were the pretzel buns and 2) what was so spicy in the sandwich. I was told that they were out of pretzel buns (which should have been told to us while ordering). I was then told the half smoked sausage was what was spicy. That was also not noted on the menu and definitely should have been in my opinion (I was raised not to waste food, and I have had plenty of half smoked sausages that were much more edible). I told her I was unable to eat it because it was so spicy. No response. I then ordered a plan bratwurst. Good customer service, which he had at the original location, who have comped the sandwich or at least have offered something to make it right (especially in light of not being told that there were no pretzel buns for that sandwich we were ordering). This experience was very disappointing. We will no longer be coming back.Update: Just wanted to add that the owner Jason was very responsive to my concerns and reimbursed me for the extra sandwich. It is truly a pleasure to experience a great response from a manager who hold to his word. Because of this, we are likely to go back again."

"I ordered the bagel and lox. It took 30 minutes to make , came out untoasted with balsamic vinegrette on it. My friend loves this place and is also from NY and said the place is great despite the bagel incident so I am going to let it go. The kid at the front desk is great and provided great customer service."

"We walked in at 12:30pm today and nobody was in there. We waited for a few minutes and nobody came out. We rang the bell on the counter and nobody came out Finally, a man came out eating food. We asked if they were closed. He said no. Then mumbled under his breath. We decided it was best to just leave at that point. This place is clearly not trying to sell food. Not sure why they are paying rent to the shopping center."

"Cute trendy taqueria with fusion/modern style food. Extremely good service, very attentive and friendly. Very large tacos. I thought I would want three, but one with an appetizer or two without is plenty. Would give five stars but the chips were actually too greasy to eat. They made them again but they were still super greasy. I'm sure they'll work out out, it's probably just the oil temperature. I'd still try them again, just have reservations about the chips."

"Food was blah nothing special and the service was terrible. I waited for a long time before the server came to greet me at my table. Then he disappeared and some girl came over with my chips she asked if he was getting my drink I told her yes but she is the one who came back with my drink. Then the server brought out my food. I began to eat it... but I noticed, I had no salsa. So none of this is a big deal yet what set me off was the fact that there were 5 employees standing around talking to each other WHO ALL MADE EYE CONTACT WITH ME AND SAW THAT I HAD STOPPED EATING AND HAD THE I NEED SOMEONE LOOK but NOT ONE OF THEM came over!!! My server was nowhere in sight. Finally I just raised my hand in the air and was like can someone come help me?? 1 of the 5 doing nothing employees came over and was already talking excuses as he approached my table he kept saying in broken English oh.. no.. I not your server.. you need the server to do.. what is the problem? I said WHERE IS MY SERVER!? so he got the server, server came over he was like oh I am so sorry for blah blah blah he said I am the only server here . I was like so what?? You have 5 people standing over there doing nothing!!! I have no salsa where is my salsa? Why has no one come to check on me? I said never mind I just want my check and I want to leave. Then the girl who brought my drink made 3 separate trips to give me the boxes, small container and bag so I could bag everything up. And she started in with the excuses and rambling nonsense too! It was a bunch of empty apologies and honestly it made no sense. She said something like, we look for your server and we don 't see him looking for you so when you have a server we look for him it is our job to see if the server is looking for you and we did not see him looking for you so.... I just shook my head. I certainly won 't be going back there ever again!"
