"I dropped into Zum prior to my first experience of the Salamanca Markets and just before they opened. The decor was nice. I sat in a booth.Their eggs benedict with ham was so delicious. I would definitely eat that again if I went back. The eggs were just perfect.The latte was fine (Hobart strong) and lacked a fancy leaf patten on the top but I'm not much of a coffee snob so I can't tell you much more."

"Service was good but that was the only good point. The food was rushed, spring rolls were frozen in the middle sent back then returned cut In half and 1 less than ordered. Dumplings were slightly under cooked and a bit doughy, kung pao chicken was very strange in flavour and the chicken was warm at best so this dish was left uneaten. We were given a decent discount but still a very average experience."

"Great food. I was back in a few years and eating was normal. went a few months ago with a buddy and was pleasantly surprised. as a chef, I can be very critical myself and can be a very demanding customer. I had a scotchfilet and my friend had a parmy, the meals were very generous in view of the very reasonable price. the steak was perfection, well seasoned and well cooked chips. the chef rad was very courteous and friendly, will be safe again."

"Has definitely had a make over and what a difference this has made- nothing really structural but certainly has been freshened up. New menu & wine list give plenty of choice and is reasonably priced. Have had a couple of lunches here over the last month or so and has been busy each time . Service attentive & friendly. Food excellent & a great, well priced selection of beers & wines."

"Lovely outlook and comfy chairs. Good drink service and tables clean Commenced with scallops in a nice sauce but needed to be balanced salt sugar. Oysters were beautiful big plump quality, however the topping was very sharp acidic. Raw king fish was beautiful all of...it. The chicken liver parfait is the nicest I've ever had. The crisp seeded lavish typebread is delicious. Served with prunes but again a sharp acidic juice needed balancing. Pork belly plentiful but poorly cooked dry base and soft crackling. Terrible coleslaw which is actually a nasty flavored vinegar?? Fish well cooked plentiful. Big meaty mushrooms didn't seem to match the delicate fish. Dessert chocolate mousse cream on chocolate crumb with raspberries was very nice. The sour dough bread is served with a type of butter whip...yuk it's like cheap margarine. I suggest to order off the menu and not go for the chef choices."
