"The best hostel I have ever been to. Best prices, friendly and helpful staff, tasty food, a large variety of drinks, fantastic pirate like atmosphere and great rock music. Very close to Basel, recommended to stay here and with the special card you get at the hostel with check in, you have a free train drive to Basel and actually all around Schwarzwald. You can get more info at the reception. Suitable also for families and couples. In the bar they have live bands every Friday. The only minus is parking you can park around the block for free for 90min (from 7.00 to 19.00 hours), then you have to repark your car. The most comfortable option is to park in the underground garage for 12€ (24 hours) and it is 3 min walk from here. All in all it is a great place to check all surrounding areas and get back to a cousy bed on a pirate ship. Argh maties!"

"Wir haben heute den 80. Geburtstag omi's im Nebenraum des Restaurants gefeiert... Das Ambiente im Inneren ist sehr warmherzig und mit diversen Kerzenständern sehr liebevoll dekoriert... Wer sich vom äusseren Industriecharm nicht beeindrucken lässt wird es nicht bereuen!!!Sie hat sich für eine Buffet-Variation entschieden, da sich da bestimmt für jeden Geschmack etwas findet.Bereits das Vorspeisen buffet war sehr lecker, alles sehr frische Komponenten und sehr schön präsentiert!!! Eine Änderung beim Hauptspeisenbuffet wurde nach Kundenwunsch sehr prompt, ohne Mehrpreis und unkompliziert bereits im Vorfeld zugesagt und auch ungesetzt. Die Schnitzel waren auf Grunde der Herkunft der Jubilarin ein renner und wurden sofort wieder nachgeliefert. Alle Speisen waren auf den Punkt zubereitet ! ,Auch das Dessertbuffet war selbst für mich als ansonsten kein Nachspeisen-Fan eibe Wucht, das Panna cotta mein Favorit! Ausser wirklich kleine Servicepannen und dem leider heute sehr heissen Wetter, welches den Nebenraum sehr aufheizte war dies ein perfektes Restaurant für unsere Feier!!"

"We were here late on Saturday evening without a reservation and they were nice enough to accommodate us. The tajine was excellent and highly recommended. I also had the lamb kebab and it was one of the best I've had in Europe. Little bites to share were also given while we waited for our food. They also let you order from the lebanese place next door which is also a big plus. Ambience and service are both great as well with highly attentive staff. A wonderful place to dine in overall!"
