"Food - created with flair and served with charm. Superficially it might seem a little expensive for the area but, once inside and enjoying the cuisine, it's soon apparent that this something very different to the norm.All food is cooked by the Proprietor to standards acquired through working in the finest restaurants and served by his charming and so obliging wife.The wine is a little pricey perhaps but that's the only small criticism."

"The restaurant is simple and unpretentious, a bit of art here and there, all in marocco style. I love to sit outside on the street curb, especially sunday lunch time when there is market. Won't work with advance reservation though because her couscous is one of the best in this region! It is the only thing they serve in a few varieties. Suitable for vegetarians as well."

"The food wasn't bad, but even by French standards, the service was not only sub-standard, but verging on the down-right rude! We are used to having to adapt to France's idiosyncratic approach to customer service, but this was way beyond a cultural difference - it was totally unacceptable! A very disappointing exoerience!"

"Very nice place with a staff who knows how to advise you according to your desires. We went there two nights in a row and never disappointed. Mixed boards are of quality and different products for each visit. Cheese and cold meat are excellent. Nice place to have a drink for the aperitif to see more."

"From crossing to elbow and a bit random we make a stop for noon at the don carmine. we are well welcomed and installed on the terrace. salads are copyy and rather good, but not exceptional. glass wine is really delicious (5 € a glass.) gourmet coffee lacks a bit of genius. But in the end, we still recommend this small restaurant for a semi-gold stop."

"23 euros, for anti pasti from a jar, a bad lasagne and a hockey puck of crème caramel in a jam jar? Its ridiculous. A total rip off. Its the same as the 13 euro lunch menu. For lunch its OK, but for dinner? Come...on, push the boat out a bit! Italian food can be far better than this! There are far better places around for this money."

"A real find. We have on La Cigalière looking for a lunch somewhere with an outdoor terrace running between Lyon Chambery. Menu du jour was all nicely cooked at home and well presented: a pig and chicken liver pâté starter, goujons by whiting a la meunière and potato cake (excellent), then a really good crême caramel and coffee served with a mini meringue. Together with a design of 1664 and 2 glasses of good Pays d’Oc Viognier under 22,50 € per head. The cooking of Séverine and the hospitality of Pierre-Francis make this a really good lunch place."

"We stopped in for a late lunch when most other places were closed. We had been at the Sunday morning market and also the Lavender Distillery minutes walk). Luckily for us we spotted Don Carmine right next to the market on our way back...to the car. We all had salads, and all were outstanding, fresh, attractive, tasty and interesting large salads. The little tapenades for starters were homemade and delicious, and my cassis sorbet with vanilla ice cream was generous and beautifully presented, the best I have ever had (and I have tried many The lady who served us was very friendly and efficient, making us feel welcome and comfortable. The price of this relaxed, casual and excellent lunch was most reasonable. If I lived near Coustellet, I would be returning every week after visiting the fabulous market."
