"Since we were staying at the Montfort hotel we decided to try their onsite restaurant. It was very nicely appointed but it was almost empty. To be fair the waiter had very limited English. I have food intolerances so was unable to eat most of...the things on the menu. I am always fine with fish but when I asked what it came with the waiter just said vegetables. The slightly off and overcooked tough cod came on a bed of chickpeas, at least a full can or two. Even if I could eat chickpeas I really dislike them. I just assumed a vegetable would be carrots, broccoli....anything but chickpeas. Probably the worst meal in a nice restaurant that I have had. My husbands scallops were overcooked as well. Not a great experience."

"First off, we're from California. We were going home, traveling south from Quebec City, and decided to stop somewhere for an authentic Poutine. Anywhere. We were actually lost, and then ended up in the cute little town of Nicolet. We drove along the main street looking for a Poutine sign. There was none. Then, we saw "Theo's" and pulled up at the parking lot. A lady was exiting the restaurant, so I asked her (in English) if they had Poutine at this restaurant. "Oui, Oui, Yes!", she said. Say no more, said I! This is a cute, cute little place for the locals, which is a good sign. We ordered the Poutine Galvaude and the Poutine Galpoute. I don't know which is which, only that they're both oh so delicious! People of the world - please stop here for a little slice of heaven, namely, Poutine!!!"
