"In a very empty restaurant we were seated at the rear in front of an open external door on a cool evening. The tables were bare unvarnished wood and wobbly. The food whilst quite tasty had limited options and lacked a certain freshness/brightness which could have been resolved by offering another side dish of greens. The triple cooked chips side did not have the expected soft centre to contrast with a crunchy outside, the carrot side dish was spectacular. Most annoyingly the waiter repeatedly called us "guys" which is totally inappropriate anywhere when dealing with a group of women in their 30s 40s and 50s. Just a little disappointing all round."

"Scrumptious now has new management. They have removed the majority of the vegan options that were on the menu. The only vegan options now are a veggie burger and a wellness bowl. Very disappointing to see that they are no longer inclusive as the previous owners were. Used to come here everyday with family and friends but won’t be coming anymore."

"This was the first time I tried this venue. It was quiet for Saturday lunch. It's right next door to the train station for those who are travelling. I can't fault the meals, they were great and well worth the money. The only thing I would fault is there is no kids menu. Do you think a 5 year old can eat what an adult eats? This was a waste of food and money at this point. Staff were friendly and the interior seemed a little outdated. But it's good for a feed if you don't have kids."

"Use caution when visiting Whiteys Pies because that blackberry pie could make you die and go to heaven!!!! So Delicious!!!! Buy some dollop cream or ice cream and cut yourself off a slice it's decadence! The staff here are always friendly and wonderful too!"

"After being told that our meal would take 45 minutes, my wife was still waiting after over 2 hours. We cancelled the order. I then called to express how disappointed we were and that over 2 hours for a meal is unacceptable. The owner expressed very little concern and was quick to get me off the phone. The excuse was used of 'we are just so busy'. My wife said there was hardly anyone sitting down in the restaurant. For an owner to have such little care in a hospitality environment, one thing is for sure; we won't be back"

"We took a large family gathering to this little friendly and humble restaurant. Among the group were some vegetarians, a vegan and some die-hard carnivores. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the banquet that was provided. We have been eating here for many years and are never disappointed. The food is absolutely delicious and the carnivores never miss the meat. The host is attentive and helpful in catering to different dietary needs. Trust me, and just go. My favourite is the BBQ kebabs on a hot plate but everything is mouth-watering."
